The Family Centre is located on the corner of Wilson and Davidson Streets, Kalgoorlie.
It is the home of several community groups and business that support family and children, including Goldfields Regional Toy Library, Kip McGrath, and Kylie & Jill's Musikal Kids. We also have rooms available for regular and casual hire to businesses, community groups and individuals.
The beautiful Kennedy Park, located at The Family Centre, was officially opened by Australian Children's Trust Chairman, Andrew Forrest, on Saturday 22nd October, 2005. The park's instigators, Tim & Michelle Stokes, deliberately designed it to be used by all children, including those with disabilities, in order to provide a place where all children could play together without barriers. Kennedy was so named in recognition of Garry Kennedy, a local businessman who has continually contributed the Kalgoorlie-Boulder community. Kennedy Park was made possible through the support of the Australian Children's Trust, The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, and Curtin University, as well as a variety of local businesses and individuals.
